About Abby Khalid
Nabila Khalid or better known as Abby is a bag maker and sewing instructor from Bangi, Selangor. Abby first developed the love for craft when she started hand sewing plush toys from felt. She was then gifted a sewing machine by her parents and her passion for domestic Modern Sewing expanded from there on.
To hone on her sewing skills, in 2013, Abby took a 1 year course with Pusat Latihan Kraftangan Epal and a short 6-days course sponsored by MARA and Epal in bag making. She has also been awarded an Anugerah Kecemerlangan Wanita 3K by Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif Malaysia (PSJK) & Epal in June 2014.
Abby first started teaching craft and sewing at Spotlight, Ampang and Mines, in mid 2014. To date, she has been featured in Nur Magazine (Nov & Dec 2015) and Slot DIY, TV Alhijrah (Jan & Dec 2016). She is also a life member of the Arts & Crafts Guild and participated in Guiness World Record, along with other 600 participants in Most People Sewing Simultaneously.
